Feeds
When you see this symbol
on the site, this indicates that there is a Feed available - also known as RSS.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. And it really is simple. It allows you to keep track of articles or items on the site without having to log onto the site.
How do I use a Feed?
Just click on the RSS icon on a page. It will show you how to subscribe to it. Different browsers behave differently but generally it's the case of clicking a subscribe button. Some browsers allow you to attach the feed like a bookmark to a toolbar at the top of the screen. Other browsers have add-ons which deal with feeds.
You can also access feeds using what's called Newsreaders. These come in all shapes and sizes. Widgets and Gadgets on Operating Systems like Windows and MacOS act as Newsreaders.
You can also get Newsreaders from the following places.
