New Horizion 2012
Its the time of year where we need to start thinking about New Horizion all over again. New Horizion has been apart of the life of Edenderry CE for the nearly 10 years now and is something as an Organisation that we regularly look forward to every year. Normally Held in the Third week in July every year, this year however we have moved to the third week in August 11th-17th. The event has been moved in order to help accomidate the University's commitment to the London 2012 olympics.
About
New Horizon is a seven-day Christian conference which is held each year. The programme they put on is unique in its own right, providing oppirtunities for people of all ages and of all circumstances to get invovled and get something out of the week. It is held on the Coleraine Campus of the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, sixty miles from Belfast on the North Coast.
What has to be said is that you will get out what ever you put in. As a event there is so much on during the week that it is hard to know what to do and what to go to. From the Morning Bible Reading that will be taken this year by Caslisto Odede the right through out the day there will be anything from 10-20 seminars to choose from where the hottest topics of the day in evangelical circles will be discussed, we can promise that you will find one to mee your needs. To the main event of each day, the evening Celebrations which will be taken by Malcolm Duncan and Simon Guillebaud. Following the evening celebrations there will be a choice of late night seminars and various Live Wire Events

Located at the Coleraine Campus of the University of Ulster, which is roughly 10 minutes outside the center of Coleraine City. Through out the week New Horizon will take advantage of the entirety of the Coleraine campus form using halls for Child Care, to using different locations for seminars, Live Wire and many other things. There is one location however that stands out and can be seen from quite a bit away, To those just passing who know nothing of what New Horizon is It might look like the circus is in town, but to the regulars from CE and all who come across from Europe know that it is the Famous Giant Blue Tent, which is located on the Pavilion.
However the beauty of staying with Edenderry CE is that you do not have to worry about transport issues no matter what age you are. Throughout the entire week you will have the use of several Mini Buses which can be used to run you into town or down to the beach form "the village ", also there will be a shuttle service from Agherton Village to the Morning Bible Readings and Live Wire and the Evening Service everyday and also a lift home so again you have no need to worry about transport.
Agherton Village
The Village as it is better know is siuated in Portstewart just off the Coleraine Rd, It is sisuated right beside the new Tesco that has been built in Coleraine. The village itself is a fantastic oppirtunity and it provides the perfect setting for CE, as we are able to house over 130 people in the same location and not have to worry about security. Every house comes with a fully fitted kitchen which allows for self catering, at least one batherroom in every house with shower and toilet althought you will have to get your own toilet role. Each house also comes with full Internet access so you can bring Laptops or Ipads or what ever you want (Bring at your own Risk ). The site its self is a 5 minute drive from the main Pavallion of New Horizon, which is perfect beucase we are close to everything.
